With the latest patch a new item was implented in the game known as Battered Hilt, this item starts the Quel'Delar questline which i assume ALOT of people will be doing.

Note: This ONLY drops in heroic mode from: Pit of Saron, Halls of Reflection and the Forge of Souls.

1] Get the battered hilt, random trash mob drop in Icecrown 5mans.

2] Turn it in to an npc in Icecrown, just south of the argent tournament grounds.

3] Starts quest "What The Dragons Know" - sends you to Krasus at the top of the Wyrmrest Temple, you have to talk to the npc at the top before the quest completes. Then you turn it in to Magister Hathorel inside your Horde/Alliance area in Dalaran.

4] NPC sends you to underbelly and find a Silver Covenant agent, and kill him and search the body for Orders. The underbelly is the Dalaran sewers. I located the agent standing in front of the sewers innkeeper. Upon leaving the sewers another agent ambushed me and netted me down.

5] Turned in orders back at the NPC you got this quest from; The next part you have to get a Borrowed Tabard from Shandy Glossgleam. He is located on the balcony above the Threads of Fate shop. The problem is only one person can use him at a time, you can talk to him when he is free and start a mini-event to help him do his laundry. Simply stand back and click the item he calls out, pants/shirt/unmentionables/water. When you do about 10 things for his laundry list, he will drop a bag next to the tub containing the tabard you need.

6] Return with the tabard to the npc in your horde/alliance inn. You now become disguised for 5 MINS from the time you accept the quest.

7] You have 5 minutes with the disguise (if it wears off, the npc can renew it). As a horde I had to go to the silver enclaive and talk to an npc, the tabard kept the guards from teleporting me out. Talk to the npc att the top and get the book you need, then get out before the disguise wears off. Sadly this is the most epic disguise you might ever wear as a horde, and its only for 5 minutes...

8] With the book of blades in hand, go back to your npc at the inn. Now the next pat has you deliver the book to Myraion Sunblade. He is at Quel'Delar's Rest, south of the Argent Tournament grounds where this all began.

9] Turn it in and enjoy the show! (make sure your sound is on!) - The Blood-Queen Lana'thel finally shows herself.

10] You are now on Reforging The Sword: You now must get 5 Infused Saronite Bars from the Pit of Saron 5man in Icecrown Citadel. You must gather bars and capture the forgemaster's hammer, then bring them to the forgemaster's anvil to reforge the sword. The bars are located all over near the slaves, there are enough of them around the entrance where even after you cleared the instance you can go back and grab them. The hammer drops off the giant forgemaster, and you can forge your sword at the anvils all around him. Go outside the instance and turnin the quest at the npc outside the icecrown 5mans, he is also there.

11] Next you go to the Forge of Souls, go to the very end at the last boss, kill him, and forge your sword. That simple. Exit forge of souls, turnin quest again at the npc outside the 5mans. Now into the halls of reflection.

12] This is it, the big shabang. Use your sword at the beginning of the instance, Uther The Lightbringer will be waiting and start screaming at you for the mistake your making. Defeat the essence of the sword when it attacks you, then loot it. Zone out and turn it in again.

13] Head to Sunwell aisle, talk to the npc at the entrance to the plateau. He will tell you to go get your blessing to use the weapon. Head to the south end of the Dead Scar on the isle of Quel'Danas, and then head up into the scar about 50 yards. Click the corpse, enjoy the speech, then DEFEND HIM. You must keep the npc alive. You CAN buff and heal him, even bandage him. Two waves of level 80 adds spawn, their easy to aoe and let him tank/aoe. Then a 3rd wave of three 18k hp spiders spawn, take them out. Finally the boss standing nearby watching, becomes attackable. Just blow all cooldowns and nuke him, hes an elite with 37k hp, easily soloed.

14] Follow your map, back to the npc at the entrance of the Sunwell Plateau and turn in the quest after you have the ghost's blessing.

15) Turn in your quest, then grab the next. Now your ready to win the game. Talk to the warden at the Sunwell entrance to have him personally enter and escort you in. You are now in one of the coolest rooms in any dungeon int he game! Travel down the hill through the Shrine of the Eclipse and to the bottom. Once you are at the bottom, stand next to the beam of the Sunwell, and use your blade. Your sword will be restored and will appear as a lootable item around one of the sides of the Sunwell. During the process, one of the guards might become a little.. scared.. and attack you, but you'll remain relatively unharmed.
(Note: Turn on your game music, it gets pretty epic).

16] Take the nearby portal in that room to dalaran with your newfound weapon. Well, you don't have to, but you need to go back to ice crown. Go back to the rest just south of the argent tournament grounds.

17] Your done! Grab the quest and head back to Dalaran and get your new found epic weapon!

In addition to the earlier post on Shattered Sun Offensive daily quests, today we are going to go through the fastest questing route instead. The following quests should be done in the order shown for the fastest time-saving route to complete your dailies at Isle of Quel'Danas and was made with all classes in mind.

First off, accept all quests and then follow the steps below with a reference map.

1] Do "Arm the Wards!" "Further Conversions" and "Open for Business"

2] Now do "Crush the Dawnblade" and part of "Know Your Ley Lines"

3] Do "The Battle Must Go On" and do the 2nd part of "Know Your Ley Lines"

4] Do "Disrupt the Greengill Coast" "Don't Stop Now..." and do the last part of "Know Your Ley Lines"

5] Now go back to town, then fly and do "Intercept the Reinforcements

6] Now just fly and do "The Air Stikes Must Continue", and then port to Shatt.

I've managed this run several times, each time with a different group setup, and I've put together the following tips to help you guys trek through it especially those new to the game.

Guidelines
Have a well-balanced group with people you know. Sometimes this isn't possible, so at least make sure you are with people who listen and react. Communication is extremely important and if people look as if they go afk or can't keep from chatting around instead of hitting mobs, don't make an attempt with them. This sounds harsh, but many people we grouped with didn't realize this run was different from a normal Baron run. They were going at normal pace and looking around instead of pulling, being stuck in combat mode and asking the group 'ready???' before every pull, to then finish a chat sentence they were sending to a buddy in guild chat before actually pulling. Then at the end they wondered why the run failed.

Try to stick to people that you consider skilled. Skilled people is a vague term, but with skilled we mean the following things:
1. Being always present at any moment of the run, immediately ready to react
2. Being able to LISTEN
3. Being conscious of their environment

It is hard sometimes to get hold of such people, but it is worth the effort, the more your party members correspond to the above mentioned features, the less tries it will take you. Just a briefing before going into the dungeon can already awaken these abilities in a lot of players, so it's always worth a try. If you find a good player, put him on your friends list and so on... you will finally end up with a group able to do this.

Group Makeup
Despite what a lot of people think you don't need a cookie cutter group to manage this, but of course the less skilled your group is, the more you depend on the perfect class combination. What you should have in any case however is this:

1. Warrior (Can be Offensive or Defensive specced, doesn't matter, make sure offensive Warriors have a shield and a one hand weapon on them for tanking the Baron at the end)
2. Priest (Ideally have a priest to heal the group, priests can shackle undead on top, simply very useful)
3. A good AoE class (ideally take a Mage with you, you can AoE a ton of things in this side of the dungeon, much more than many people assume... just need a good healer. This is also important for skellys at Baron later)
4. DPS.
5. DPS (can be substituted with a support class like pally if need be, paladins are actually not bad at all for Stratholme if they are smart and use their AoEs against undead on AoE pulls)

Keep in mind that you can take two AoE classes for example, like Warlock and Mage and you can pretty much AoE 40% of Stratholme Undead Side, you just need a good healer who CHAIN heals the ONE person who gets aggro from AoEing.

Brief people exactly before the run and make sure that everyone must makes an effort. Just tell them to NOT chat around, NOT go afk, ALWAYS pay attention, concentrate, etc.

If you want, tell everyone to get potions, at least mana and health ones. The more the better of course, especially if your priest tends to get low mana fast, so having support from potions is always good. Stuff like Mongoose Elixir or Flask of Supreme Power etc... are really optional, despite what many people think this is not vital.

Have the Mage summon enough drink and water BEFORE entering, since asking for stuff inside the dungeon doesn't usually work.

Once you zone into Stratholme Undead by the Service Gate make sure everyone is present and ready to follow. If someone wants to do the Medallion of Faith quest tell them to not do it, as this quest seems to make it impossible to do the 45 minute run thing, it just bugs out the quest at the end, we don't know if this got fixed yet.

Clear past the three groups of undead and zombies that block the way to the first gate, you CAN AoE these and you should, just have your Mage go inside with a Power Word Shield, spam Arcane Explosion and have the priest chain heal the Mage with spam flash heals (and only the Mage btw). If there is other AoE classes they should use AoE too of course.

Don't open the gate yet, opening and going through it will give you the Baron "Ultimatum" buff. If you didn't do this already tell your group to strictly keep to the following rules:

General Guide

1. No afk.

2. No unnecessary chat or chat with friends outside group, FULL FOCUS.

3. They must be prepared for CONSTANT PULLING, even while casters sometimes drink to regain mana, melee classes should continue pulling. The whole 45 minute thing really only becomes possible if you constantly pull, long mana breaks are really a big no-no.

4. You'll skip a lot of mobs. In fact, a LOT of stuff can be skipped to speed things up, and get to the Baron. Take a look at the map for an idea. Make sure everyone pays attention and that your puller knows the optimal pulling path. Seriously, it's frustrating to do your best to skip a group and one person runs straight into it because he didn't pay attention...make sure this doesn't happen, we can't stress this enough.

5. If things go crazy (multiple mobs), consider AoE with constant healing on the Mage (or the one AoE class that has aggro). If you have several AoE classes, make sure to heal properly.

6. Max DPS. Every dps helps, even the Priest wanding or dotting when he has nothing to do, using dmg shields and trinkets... Play every trumph card you have.

7. Have people always ready to sheep or shackle or better even pull with these spells, less damage saves mana. Counterspell casters that don't want to come, make sure your Priest is at a GOOD distance when you fight the banshee type of mobs as these silence. Also don't and really don't fight bats close to other mobs, pull them back a LARGE chunk, getting feared into adds is like the death cause of 60% of the groups in this dungeon.

8. If it's possible, don't loot. You can loot boss mobs if you want but just skip loot on trash, it will make you go much faster, even though it is painful, we know... but this run requires some sacrifice. Decide BEFORE you enter who is the Disenchanter and who hence will take blue loot from bosses that no one wants to then ROLL FOR IT AFTER THE RUN. We saw many groups discussing about loot and rolling around for DEs after each boss mob on Baron Runs... - we know loot is often the subject where people get touchy but it can't be helped, it's pretty clear why time wasting on loot is not an option for the 45 minute run on Baron.

9. Be fast, constantly pull, skip what you can, max out your DPS, don't waste any time in any form... These are the most important points.

10. When you enter with your group and once you get the ultimatum buff from Baron, go as fast as possible and follow the map... you only have to get to Baron and engage him within these 45 minutes. If you need help on how to kill Baron refer to our Stratholme Guide, which we'll be posting in the next week or so.

Quest Overview
The Ring of Blood is a quest line given by a Goblin named Gurgthock in the very north of Nagrand, at the Laughing Skull Ruins. The enterprising Gurgthock has turned an area of the ruins into a pit for some good old-fashioned deathmatches. The player starts off as an inexperienced newbie, and finds him or herself steadily pitted against more powerful foes as they win their matches. The fight only ends when one side is a red stain on the ground! Since the enemies encountered in the Ring of Blood are very powerful, this must be done in a group, preferably with a proper tank and healer.

The Trick
You can use as many people as you want for the fight itself and not just your particular group. Have the group on the quest accept it then hop into the pit and the other people can help kill the mob / heal the tank. Just make sure the group with the quest is getting the aggro on the mob first so they get credit for the kill.

The entire quest line is worth about 2 bars of experience at level 65, 60 gold, and 10 major mana or healing potions with the choice 1 of 6 different weapons equivalent to Naxx gear. Takes about 10 minutes from start to finish with 1 other group helping.

The Outlands is indeed a huge area to fathom with vast areas to venture as you toil your character to the new Level 70 cap. I received several emails in regards to maps and some questions on those I posted earlier these past 2 weeks. So I've decided to compile them in a Word format so that all of you can download and refer to them as and when the need arises without going on a searching spree online.

I know many of my close network of bloggers told me this is really not a wise thing to do as I will be losing my readership but as I shared with them... "I am first and foremost a World of Warcraft player... this blog is just to share that passion with others". So without further ado, just click on the Word Icon to start the download and do a "save as" and rename the file to your computer if need be or you may click on the link below as well:

Well it has been time consuming but I think everyone needs help getting their new Blood Elf character up fast in order to get him/her into the Outlands and play with the rest. Do bear with me as I mention this takes time to compile. Click on the Quest name to view the quest detail and more importantly the map to guide you along.

Level 1-10 Eversong Woods
This would be the starting zone for all Bloof Elves and its a real beauty. So where do you go from here? Just follow these simple steps:

2] Kill 8 Mana Wyrms and then turn it in.

3] Accept 'Unfortunate Measures' but don't do it yet and take your class specific quest which you're going to do right away.

4] Turn in your class quest and then take 'Well Watcher Solanian'

5] Turn in 'Well Watcher Solanian' and accept 'The Shrine of Dath'Remar' and 'Solanian's Belongings'
