Jewelcrafting 375-450
Jewelcrafting was introduced during the Burning Crusade expansion and now with the current WotLK expansion, it has grown in terms of the availability of epic rings, necklaces and self-use trinkets or figurines. In my opinion, Prospecting makes Jewelcrafting into a cash cow.

Without further ado, let's check out the location of the Jewelcrafting trainers:

Alliance:
Alestos - 57,72 in Valiance Keep, Borean Tundra.
Ounhulo - 59,63 in Valgarde, Howling Fjord.

Horde:
Geba'li - 41,53 in Warsong Hold, Borean Tundra.
Carter Tiffens - 79,28 in Vengence Landing, Howling Fjord.

Neutral:
Timothy Jones - 40,35 in Dalaran

Here is the powerleveling guide for Engineering 375 to 450. Kindly note that some of the steps might be overlapping, so use the one which you have mats for or can be bought cheaply from the auction house:

370-380
Shadow Jade Focusing Lens – 1 Shadow Crystal, 1 Dark Jade

380-400
Jada Dagger Pendant – 1 Eternal Earth, 1 Huge Citrine, 1 Dark Jade

390-410
Dazzling Forest Emerald – 1 Forest Emerald

390-420

420-450

Large Prismatic Shard has always been a hot commodity in the game due to its various usage in enchanting, blacksmithing and engineering profession. A great way to obtain this is by disenchanting rare items above level 66 especially those obtained through instance runs. Unfortunately doing this requires a large investment of your time for just a few shards.

A faster method to obtain Large Prismatic Shards is via crafted rare items. Here I shall list 3 items which materials required to craft is generally cheaper than the average price of a Large Prismatic Shard especially if you have the corresponding gathering profession.

Engineering - Cogspinner Goggles
The schematic can be purchased from faction town in Hellfire Peninsula.
Reagents Required:
4 x Heavy Knothide Leather
2 x Blood Garnet
8 x Arcane Dust

Tailoring - Arcanoweave Bracers
The pattern is a rare drop from Arcatraz Sentinel at The Arcatraz instance.
Reagents Required:
6 x Bolt of Netherweave
12 x Arcane Dust
2 x Rune Thread

Jewelcrafting - Thick Felsteel Necklace
This design is a rare world drop item which makes it the hardest of all 3.
Reagents Required:
2 x Felsteel Bar
3 x Mercurial Adamantite

Adamantite Ore go for an average of 20-30g a stack on my server.

If your a Miner with main or on an alt even better cause more profits for you! But I'm lazy to run around Outlands for veins and I have the gold to buy ore with.

4 chances for a rare gem in each stack. If you even just get 1 rare in chances that stack is already paid for. Rare gems go from 30-50g each on my server Nightseye being the most usually. I've paid 23g for a stack of ores and got 3 rares worth a total of 140g in that one stack. 110g Profit right there. But gotta think there are times all you do get is the dust and nothing else.

Only problem with this guide is the supplies of Adamantite Ore on AH.

But, I spend many 1 hour of my time buying and prospecting Adamantite Ore a day. Usually I save all my gems till I get 10+ of each and send in trade chat Selling in bulk!! Usually you can get a little more then AH prices if you have bulk of the gems.

Prospecting can be trained at Jewelrycraft skill level 20. 5 ores of each WHITE LETTER ore (meaning no silver, gold, etc), can be trained as follows:

Adamantite Ore - 325 Skill
Fel Iron Ore - 275 Skill
Thorium Ore - 250 Skill
Mithril Ore - 175 Skill
Iron Ore - 125 Skill
Tin Ore - 50 Skill
Copper Ore - 1 Skill

Another thing is... each stack will give you 1 Adamantite Dust (4.5g) to the vendor. And usually 1-2 uncommon gems 20g a stack to vendor also.

If you have time and gold to check ah and prospect you can easily make 1000g+ a day doing this and selling the rares.

IMO Don't cut and sell the gems cause you will have to pay deposit fees and you compete with others on the AH. If you put up say a Runed Living Ruby for 55g. Next min someone puts it up for 50g your screwed till that one sells. Waste of time and Deposit fee.

When BC first came out I use to sell cut uncommons for 5-10g each and made 3000g in 2 weeks. Now the cutting business is sorta unstable. Selling of uncut rare gems will always be needed.

from www.freewarcraftgold.com

This powerleveling guide is focused on leveling jewelcrafting from 1-300 as quickly and easily as possible when The Burning Crusade is released. This should give you edge over players who are unprepared when the expansion is out. I have chosen designs with easily obtainable materials opposed to cheap materials, and I have not considered resale value on items. If you have any suggestions, please share them with me at jewelcrafting@freewarcraftgold.com. Additionally, this guide was written during the beta so design specifications and material are likely to change. Please keep me posted with what you discover so I can keep this guide updated.

Once the Burning Crusade is released, the below materials will likely increase in value as Horde and Alliance shuffle to their respected cities and try to power level Jewelcrafting. I strongly recommend not only buying what you'll need to level to 300, but also extras in case something goes wrong after The Burning Crusade is released.

Here is the list of best case scenario and recommended amounts of materials for 1-300 Jewelcrafting:

7g 12s 80c for training
180-240 Copper Bars

75-90 Jade
90-120 Elemental Earth
120-180 Thorium Bars

Congrats you're level 300! Please, if for some reason you copy this guide to your own page provide www.freewarcraftgold.com with a backlink. Good luck in the Outlands!

Remember, when The Burning Crusade is released, these items will be high demand. So you've got to stock up before the expansion hits shelves and is installed. What I'm saying is, make sure you have this stuff before you venture into the Outlands or you'll be wishing you didn't have to go back to collect materials.
