For those who would like to get an upper hand in the market when the upcoming patch 3.2 goes live, there are two major changes that will affect the game economy. The first is the introduction of epic gems; the second is that Emblems of Conquest are now obtainable in all pre-Crusader dungeons and raids. We will discuss mainly about epic gems for now.

Epic gems can be obtained in a few different ways:

Alchemy Transmutes
Icy Prism - You can save them by mailing them to your banker and leave it in the mailbox
Prospecting Titanium Ore
Buying with Honor or Emblems of Heroism

Buying them with Honor and Emblems will probably be very unpopular, as everything will be dropping Emblems of Conquest and players will be eager to grab new gear before they will grab new gems. The other three on the other hand will have a profound effect on the market.

Transmuting an epic gem usually requires a blue gem of the same color as the desired epic gem and a specific Eternal. The following is a list of transmutes as they are currently on the PTR:

Transmute: Ametrine: Monarch Topaz and Eternal Shadow
Transmute: Cardinal Ruby: Scarlet Ruby and Eternal Fire
Transmute: Dreadstone: Twilight Opal and Eternal Shadow
Transmute: Eye of Zul: 3 x Forest Emerald
Transmute: King’s Amber: Autumn’s Glow and Eternal Life
Transmute: Majestic Zircon: Sky Sapphire and Eternal Air

The first thing to note is that players will be getting epic gems from a few sources. Players will largely be consuming the same amount of gems overall, as they will have about the same number of sockets. Some of the new recipes require epic gems, but it won’t have a huge impact on the market. Since only some portion of the epic gems being consumed use current rare gems as a material means that consumption of rare gems is going to go way down. There will still be a market as the poor man’s gem and as reagents for transmutes, but the prices of uncut and cut rare gems should drop significantly. Get rid of any stock that you have. The exception may be Forest Emerald, which requires 3 gems for the transmute. Only time will tell relatively how valuable they will be, but blue gems are used a lot by tanks, so I’m predicting a good market for the epic blue gems and hence Forest Emerald. Also, expect Eternal consumption to go way up with lots of new recipes and the transmutes.

Titanium on the other hand is going to be the game changer. People are stockpiling Titanium now, which may or may not be a good idea. It might be way overvalued right now; it’s risky to do. However, with rare gems losing demand and rare gems being the result of Titanium prospects as often of epic gems, rare gems should lose a significant amount of value from this alone. The flipside to this is that the value of Saronite and Cobalt should crash, as they will no longer be valuable to prospect. This is going to be a huge window of opportunity for Blacksmiths, who can potentially make lots of BoE stuff and disenchant it. Expect Enchanting supplies to increase in supply in the long run and prices to drop.

Finally, note the materials for the new crafted items, including a new orb from the Argent Coliseum: Crusader’s Orb. This list was complied by the writers at WarcraftEcon:

• Titansteel Bar
• Saronite Bar
• Arctic Fur
• Heavy Borean Leather
• Icy Dragonscale
• Nerubian Chitin
• Moonshroud
• Spellweave
• Ebonweave
• Crusader Orb
• Various epic gems, Eternals, Enchanting materials
• Deadly Saronite Dirk
• Corroded Saronite Woundbringer

These will probably enjoy a small price boost in the first month or so of patch 3.2.

Remember, the first two weeks will be crazy, as everyone will want epic gems and consumption will be through the roof. Expect it to level off within about 6 weeks. Happy hunting!

I use these free teleports all the time to get my 80 somewhere fast. The simple trick is in keeping these quests in your log and not handing them in. That's all you have to do to enjoy free travels to various cities and locations.

Fate, Up Against Your Will
This quest or the follow-up will provide you with a free teleport from Stormwind to a phased version of Orgrimmar which is helpful if you wanna fish up Old Crafty, get RFC achievement or just a quick way into the Durotar area. There will also remain a portal back into Stormwind inside Thrall's room.
Location: Stormwind to Orgrimmar

The Killing Time
This quest requires the previous 2 completed and is the 4th in the quest chain. It will provide a portal into a phased Undercity. I prefer the Orgrimmar portal myself though as I find it more useful.
Location: Anywhere to Undercity

Where in the World is Hemet Nesingwary?
This quest starts at Krasus Landing in Dalaran and will teleport u in a few seconds to the very center of Sholazar Basin. I really don't think it's worth handing in this quest as its been saving me a lot of time going on my herbalist/miner for a quick area sweep. Besides, the rewards are peanuts anyways.
Location: Dalaran to Sholazar Basin

Preparations for War
This quest also starts at Krasus Landing in Dalaran and will teleport u in a few seconds to your factions zep in Icecrown. Helpful if you wanna go straight to doing the dailies on the ship instead of looking for the zep on the map etc.
Location: Dalaran to Icecrown

The Keeper's Favor
This quest grants you a teleport into Moonglade from Crusaders' Pinnacle in Icecrown which could be useful for.. grinding Timbermaw rep.. grinding the nearby oozeling.. grinding the Winterspring Frostsaber quest.. or even getting your Leatherworking skill up on the little critters there.
Location: Icecrown to Moonglade

The Boon of A'dal
This is the end of a long chain quest with some decent rewards for a starting character, but if you don't turn this quest in then it is essentially treated like a portal to Dalaran from Shattrath. Not very useful for most, but people doing, say, Old Man Barlo's fishing may want to simply not turn it in. Each time you pick up the quest you are ported to Dalaran.
Location: Shattrath to Dalaran

So if you happen to level a new alchemist on your new character and managed to get to 350 (and lvl 68), then you get to choose a specialization. I obviously wanted Elixir mastery since I understand that it is the most profitable one.

So I went to pick up the quest and as soon as I saw BM I died a little from the inside as I couldn't be bothered farming the rep so I dropped it. I then went to pick up Pot Mastery instead, I saw it involved BoT and dropped it also since no one seems to be running those instances anymore.

Hence I took up Transmutation Mastery and thought it might come in handy especially with the 3.2 patch for gems transmutations.

But it kinda saddened me that I wouldn't make any decent profit till 3.2 so I decided I'd drop the Transmutation Master specialization (which I had become) and do the Elixir quest with the help of a guild mate of mine.

So I went up to pick the quest and figured out that because I had become Transmute Master, I could become Elixir Master without doing the darn quest and thankfully I was right.

So, to summarized this all up:

1. Become Trans Master (4 Primal Mights like 50g on my server)
2. Drop It
3. Go to the Elixir Master in Shat or Pot Master in Zangarmash
4. Become one of the above with only 150g spend and no rep farming effort

This is for people leveling alts or stuck on a Mastery they do not want. I am pretty sure it is old and all, but sometimes the simplest of things can be overlooked.

As a side note, you need to go to your current mastery trainer to drop it before you can take up a new alchemy specialization of your choice.

I found a really GREAT recipe to get my Blacksmithing from 375-425 by just making the same item!

Plans: Reinforced Cobalt Chestpiece
Binds when picked up
Requires Blacksmithing (375)

Use: Teaches you how to make a Reinforced Cobalt Chestpiece

Reinforced Cobalt Chestpiece
Binds when equipped
Chest Plate
1545 Armor
+47 Strength
+64 Stamina
Durability 115 / 115
Requires Level 77

Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 38 (1.03% @ L77).
Equip: Improves your resilience rating by 43 (0.65% @ L77).

Requires Cobalt Bar (4)

375 415 420 425

Yup. For only 4 Cobalt Bars (Cobalt Orex4), you can get from 375-425. Obviously, when you hit yellow/green it isn't a guaranteed point but none the less, its a VERY cheap item to make.

______________________________________________________

Where to get the recipe?

Since the recipe is BoP, you will have to farm it. Wowhead says its a 1% drop rate but that is not accurate at all since they are calculating ALL kills but this recipe only drops for blacksmiths. I got mine after about 25 kills.

Venture Co. Excavator
Level: 75 - 76
React: A H
Health: 10,635 - 11,001

______________________________________________________

Notes - PROFIT POTENTIAL

On my server. Cobalt Ore sells for 50 gold for a stack of 20. In that stack of 20 I can make, 5 of these. The chest pieces you make can be disenchanted and with the right luck, you could break even or better yet, PROFIT off this.

Disenchanting

75% Chance - Infinite Dust x 3.5
20% Chance - Greater Cosmic Essence x 1.5
5% Chance - Dream Shard x 1

My Server = 9-10 Gold Per Chest Piece

Infinite Dust x1 = 6 Gold
Great Cosmic Essence x1 = 25 gold
Dream Shardx1 = 25g

AT THE VERY LEAST YOU BREAK EVEN! Profit Potential for sure!

Anyways. This really helped me out so I thought I would share it. Best of luck!

For those who are at level 77 but do not have the funds to purchase the Northrend flying mount can apparently rent a loaned flying mount from "Honest" Max at K3 in The Storm Peaks. The mounts available are:

Loaned Wind Rider Reins
Loaned Gryphon Reins

The mount is FREE, it flies, but it moves at walking speed. It's a pain if you need it to explore, but it does have some very handy uses such as:

You can mount while moving.

You can mount in combat.

You can even mount while falling.

I believe if you purchase Northrend flying you're unable to get the free mount, but I was able to get the free mount, then I purchased Northrend flying, and I still have the loaned mount in my inventory. I'm not quite sure what other uses it has, it's still a pain to get around while using it. But it's nice to get out of combat free and best of all... mounting while in mid-air.

Although it might be common sense for some... I still feel it is worth sharing this with everyone! Apparently the Herb Gathering spell IS indeed affected by Haste!

So when you go for your long session of herbing grind, you might want to equip your haste gear when flying around to catch 'em!

Granted that it won't speed things up a whole lot, but it'll help a little especially when competing with other herbalist in the area.

Take a look at the above screenshot, if you need further proof!

Some quick tips on the current Brewfest event which will surely help shorten the time spent on obtaining the much needed tickets.

Brewfest City Barking
After you have barked at all 4 points, click on your normal epic mount, equip your riding crop, and go top speed back to the quest giver with out having to worry about fatiguing your ram. If you switch mounts before you hit all 4 points/flags and complete the quest, you will not "bark".

Pink Elekk quest!
1] You can find the Teldrassil elekks in shattrath city when drunk. Just circle the terrace of the light. Saves alot of time going all ze way to Teldrassil
2] If you target one elekk, start to sapp it, and target a new elekk, BEFORE you are done sapping the first, then the elekk you are targeting dies but not the one you were sapping so you can stand right next to one and sap one there about 100 yards away.

Playing a Warlock is indeed very demanding due to its versatility and numerous spell abilities. To maximize your gameplay and knowing what to do in certain situation, I've compiled a list of Tips posted in the WOW EU Forums for easier reading and understanding.

* Your healthstone spell only allow you to carry 1 healthstone with the same rank, however this doesnt prevent you from using a lower rank healthstone spell, and this leaves you with 2 healthstones, the max ranked healthstone and the lower ranked healthstone: There will still be a CD, but still good to have > if 2 different locks have different talent points in imp healthstone you can hold both stones even if there the same lv.

* When using Fear as CC in Pve, CoR Rank 1 will break it if the Feared mob is running towards adds. Rank 1 is used to not give the mob too much AP, but it will still break the fear effect.

* Applying Curse of Shadows straight after applying UA and Corruption still gives the first ticks of the two dots its +%damage effect. Allows your DPS to start a fraction sooner than if you applied CoS first.

* Always buff yourself and your PvP mates with Unending Breath and Detect Invisibility - because a fair few of the dispells available in the game targets random buffs. Having a mage spellsteal unending breath is a *lot* nicer than having him spellsteal sac void bubble.

* When pvping, always have some distance between you and your pet (use ctrl+3 to make it stand stil, while you move away) It will make it harder for other players to attack your pet, and make sure AoE effects doesn't hit it. (getting your pet feared can easily be the difference between winning and loosing.) Also if you're using the felguard, it will allow it to intercept anyone who gets into melee.

* Many locks use wands while they can instead use spellstone witch gives extra ~1% crit and a full debuff remover on a 3 min cooldown(saves your ass many times vs DOTers)

* Using CoD + Banish r2 then r1 and wait 10 secs = Kaboom without getting hurt on Elementals and Demon mobs

* If you ever see an unstealthed rogue send pet to attack and dot then it unstealths them most of em panic and vanish

* In battlegrounds, Create single healthstones and give them to loads of ppl from different servers. If they wont use it untill the game is over you will get back all ur healthstone so you can have many of the same size in youre inventory

* Use felhunter to remove fear/sheep and dots from yourself.

* To remove the DR timer use Death Coil and the DR timer is now reset so u can do Fear(10sec), Fear(5sec), Death Coil, Fear(10sec) etc. quite nice in PVP

* Use Drain Life against warriors with MS or Rogues with similar poison, the MS/Poison does NOT affect the healing of drain life = easier to survive.

* To prevent healers from drinking in arena, keep the pet on him, he wont come Out Of Combat, though u will be able to.

* When rebuffing in 5 mans, place a Soulwell and grab a healthstone, life tap to max. mana, use the healthstone and take another one. Will help you rebuff faster.

* In PvP/Arena when you're affliction, do not trinket out of the kidney shot from a rogue but out of his cheap shot and quickly press Howl of Terror (instant). The rogue'll expect that you wait till kidney shot and will Cloak of nubs then.

* Rogues and warriors can be easily kited around with CoExhaustion pvp trinket breaks hamstring, save it for after your death coil and the intercep.

* In PvP, apply SoC and then quickly add UA. Sometimes dispellers will see SoC and try to dispell it but if you're on time you can make the dispeller dispell UA.

* Use your felhunter to dispell UA on an ally. Your felhunter won't take any dmg!

* Use SoC on pets if you can. It will explode the owner with it. (Works on hunter snake traps too)

* When boosting, use a firestone! It can be quite usefull in places like the stockades.

* Since the global cooldown is always 1,5seconds, you can save talent points by spending only 2pts in Improved Corruption, making it 1,2 second cast.

* Lifetap then hellfire to die without durability loss.

* An intercept when there is less than 1 seconds remaining on cheapshot allows for a fully uninterupted fear cast.

* I'm affliction so I CoE kite almost exclusively . Get them away from u (ihot to give yourself 2 yards before they trinket or deathcoil) then Hit your trinket + Free Action Potion (trinket removes the poison/hamstring, pot makes u immune for 30 seconds)

* vs BM Hunters SoC the pet, Howl of Terror the snakes when affliction because BM you can't fear anyway (when he's big and red), death coil away and hope your DoTs tick away faster than he does with your health. Backlash/nightfall procs come in handy. If you're affliction siphon life/corruption the pet for nightfall + health. Seduce might work and give you some time to fear the pet if not BM, voidwalker sacrifise works nice too.

* - On hunter pets: CoW and siphon.
- On felguards / felhunters: CoS before banishing.
- Vs warriors: Dot them in combat, trinket the intercept, coex kite. Should they actually get an hamstring in anyway with your trinket on CD, deathcoil + amp coex works. Another trick is to cast immolate and hope they pummel it, then proceed to drain tank.
- Vs rogues: Trinket KS, iHoT, wait for cloak, then deathcoil > fear, coex.
- Vs undeads: iHoT > wotf > deathcoil > fear.
- Vs mages: Dont cast a shadow spell until he's spell locked or feared. Devour frost nova asap if they're frost.
- Shadowfury > HoT is a very nice escape combo as well.
- Vs shamans: Use your pet to kill totems. Grounding totem is always first priority, then tremor totem.
- If you got felguard, be sure to learn to use intercept at the right places. Abuse stay and follow.
- Also, on 5 man instance thrash as affl, don't bother casting all dots. Just use UA, corr, CoS and then shadowbolt.

* If you meet a player with kick, bash, silence ect, cast fear, then stop casting it asap. 80% of the time the enemy will waste his silence and not lock your shadow school. Wait a few sec and recast fear safely.

* When playing desto and you meet a Aff-lock wait until you have netherprot buff and hit your spellstone. Wola: No dmg taken from UA if it gets dispelled.

* Summon the Infernal as often you can. It sux big time, but generally ppl panic just by seing it.

* Make a macro also so you can dispell your 2v2 teammate with felpuppy.

* Make 2 HS'es to each of you in arena, some fights might last long.

* The New Darkmoon Trinket Lunacy, which give 51 stamina and random buff when killing enemy, it gives the buff when you sacrifice one of your demons. So if you in to arena you will get the buff lasting same time as the void walker sacrifce, very nice

* Manually casting imp fire shield on yourself and the team before summoning a useful demon adds yet another debuff to the layer. It can also be useful against a snake trap.

* Spamming Rank 1 Magic on a paladin is a great way to get him to go OOM.

* Summoning stun doesn't last the full cast time of another pet. So when doing void sac + new pet trick, you can safely start casting your new pet and sacrifice that void 0.5 sec before the new pet gets summoned.

* Priest's shadowfiend does shadow damage. So CoS the target it's hitting. On the contrary, ask for a shield for anyone from your team that is getting hit by shadowfiend and remember to use your shadow ward.

* Shadow reflector + spellstone is an evil combination.. If the reflector doesn't fail. But since atleast I use the reflector for the resistances vs 4 shadow dps teams, I can always give this a try. When you get UA, use reflector and if it doesn't fail, use spellstone. This will reflect the UA dispelling silence and damage to the orginal warlock caster. Of course, changing gear after the arena has started is no longer possible in the next patch.

* Dont bother banishing frostmages' water elementals, they want you to try that. Instead use Curse of tongues, a corruption and a siphon life, which kills it off quite fast while seriously reducing its effect.

* In arena always carry your spellstone, with one click you can remove all the debuffs of a shadowpriest, and most of the warlock ones.

* Never use your deahtcoil as an opener, lots of locks tend to do that because they want to open with a can of whoopa$$, but dc is too much of a trump card you gotta leave up your sleave and use it to really turn the battle around. (combined with drain life it's imba)

* Use fear, lol this might sound stupid but I know alot of warlocks have stopped bothering after all the nerfs, even if it doesn't last long, it's still 3 interupts on enemy casters you can pull of with some luck (dangerous with mages ofc)

* If you get attackt buy a mage, and you have your felhunter up and the basterd is so smart that he sheeps you and cast Detekt magi on you dont forget that your pet will only despell that deteckt magic and not the sheep in that case pray to good that you got a trinket ore wait to he is casting lets sey a pyroblast wait to the end of the spell to **spell lock** to to then he all redy waisted 4 sec on his sheep and then get silineced for 4 more sec that suld give you time to dont take that mutch dmg and still be abel to turn the fight.

* Use a macro to destroy totems with /petattack.

* Mages don't decurse. Bad mages don't even decurse themselves.

* When engaging another Warlock the one who trinkets/deathcoils/spellocks last normally wins - be prepared with shadow ward. Never lock his fire school.

* Don't attack a warrior or send your pet after him if you intend to kill the healer in the bushes first - it's just free rage.

* If you have decent gear, the guards at alterac flags can be killed with 2 seeds (put a coa on the seedet nonelite target(s) too). Just kite them a little bit away after your second seed cast then proceed to fear/dot kite the elite.

* Never send your pet on one of the pillars in Blades Edge arena. They are bugged.

* Always try to kill shadow priests and mages during farm status raids when competing for DPS. As soon as one of them has more then 100% threat try to reach 130% - then soulshatter when the mob is near you.

* When you silence paladin, he can use bubble. When you counterspell paladin (it means, you interrupt his spell with spell lock), he cant bubble for duration of the counterspell (4 - 6 sec, depend on talents)

* Last rank of drain soul does decent damage

* If you meet an arena team with a non-shadow priest - do NOT dot up more than one target. Prayer of mending will jump like silly between your enemies and it will become incredibly powerful (instant, costs little and heals like 8k total).

* If you mount you resets your pets cooldown and also gives it full mana..... so in a bg with your felguard after you have won just mount up and down to have the charge ability ready again, or to fill up your imp when you are grinding as affliction.

* Eye of killrog, and move into shade of arans chamber. Lekeep the eye inside the boss for 6-10 seconds, the boss will activate. Arcane missiles reach all the way to the bookcase to enter Illhoof's chambers.

* Don't know how much of a trick it is, but when you are in shattrath and needing shards, fly a little further to the east than you normally would to farm shards, and get them off the basilisks there. The basilisks drop [Chunk o' Basilisk] which can be cooked into spelldamage food

* When fighting a priest --> curse of agony , instant dot (syphon , corruption) , unstable affliction, another dot (syphon or corruption) , enjoy ur dots fully ticking out since maybe 0.5% of priest community has rank1 dispell on their hot bars

* UA/CoT applied simultaneously (you know what i mean) followed by a fear will make most pallys bubble...whuch can tun the fight your way quickly

* If you get siphon life reflected on you it will heal you more than damage you. (If you have fel armour on)

* If you get CoA reflected you can cast a different curse right after to replace it

* I you see a druid stupid enough to go in tree form near you. banish him!

* When grinding with dark pact/imp make sure to use dark pact during the fight as well as after. your imp's mana bar should never be full if yours isn't, else you're just wasting his awesome mana regen.

* Shadow Embrace is a pretty weak talent for PVP. However spending 1 point here adds another debuff to the target. This means your DoT's are more protected from dispells AND you get an additional 4% for your Drain Life (assumeing you've taken Soul Syphon talent).

* Keybind your and pet's spells and DO NOT activate the auto-functions of your pets except some more obvious things like invulnerability of your succy.

* When you are defending farm in AB and you see some rogue or druid unmounting and stealthing, cast Seed of Corruption at the rats! SoD will proc immediately and its AoE will sometimes hit the rogue/druid.

* Rank1 Rain of Fire when you expect some stealther around you (even better when you put some points into pyroclasm).

* Regarding sacrifice void before arena start. Summon your void, when time is short you can start summon the demon you want, and SPAMM click sacrifice, when you summoned demon its about 0,5 sec before it gets up so you can sacrifice exactly at the point before you get your new pet. Whollaa 30 sec shield.

* For affliction lock that's boosting... spam Siphoon life on 20 mobs.. life tap once in a while and boost like a king

* With succy in instances, pull with searing pain, halfway through the cast start seduce, land a CoS at the same time as searing pain hits. The succy will now not take aggro, and the mob will follow you around when out of seduce. This allows for you to run away from it, past your succy, meaning between seduces all the mob does is run.

* If you get sheeped in arena, dont unsheep right away, let your hp fill up. Use fear to force trinkets, count to 15(amongst other things) then CoS and fear...lots of proffit

* In arena send pet to the warrior to let him enter in combat ..so bb charge

* Use shadow ward before entering in arena

* When someone got mind controlled in instance use on them CoR // a bit low armor is nothing compared to fear immunity somethimes.

* Always use lesser invisibility in arena cause u will be able to see succubus and banish them before seduction

* In world PvP, fear your target's mob. Hopefully it will soon be back with his friends; still his aggro list is unchanged.

* If your bags are full when you create healthstone, you lose the shard and don't get a healthstone.

* When questing with a mage buddy duel them and let them steal Fel Armour for the damage bonus.

* If you have improved drain soul use rank 1 just before the killing blow lands, I'm spending 55 mana and getting 1400+ back.

* At the beggining of an AV, SS yourself and start the ritual of doom, chances are people will click it, and you get a doomguard.

* In the second boss in shadow labyrinth, each time he does his "it's time for fun" mass mindcontrol, it resets your "one curse per target" limit. Thus, you can have CoS, Agony, Curse of Doom, etc. on him at the same time.

* Easiest way to farm a whole lot of shards: Go the big lake in zangarmarsh, at the bottom there's a whole bunch of fish which have very low HP and come in packs of 3-4.

* Always stand with your back agains a wall/cliff or something, as they can't run behind you they rly have a hard time nuking. Versus combat rogues stand facing the wall and drain him, as he can't gouge if you do that. Works like a charm in arenas too. No backstab for a dagger rogue means he's pumping less dmg then my drain life regenerates. And I remember dozen of times when they run down from cliffs and stuff trying to get behind me.

* You can drain enemys through walls/obstacles as long as they are in range and in line of sight when you start draining them

* Save your cooldowns (mostly speaking about death coil here) when you're up against melee opponents

* If you're in a tight spot where you might get silenced, you can spell lock your enemy in advance and then cast fear or ua without being counterspelled.

* If you're in one of the tempest keep dungeons and need to get back to Cosmowrench for some reason (such as needing repairs or to summon somebody), lifetap to critical health and use hellfire. You'll die, but take no durability damage thanks to the hellfire. And since you can't ghost run to TK, you'll appear near cosmowrench on full health with no additional gear damage.

* Get raidbuffs on your imp, especially brilliance for a bigger manapool and spirit for faster mana regen.

* Also, pester local paladins for BoW on your imp

* Cast UA and then corruption immediately after. Both will be on the same timer and can be recasted at the same time at the same manner. Saves keeping track of 1 timer.

* If there is a shadowpriest around, go for CoS. Keep shadow priests happy. Learn to love your shadow priests. Hug them occasionally.

* Consider your dots as fast-cast / high damage / long cooldown spells. Never overwrite your own dots before they're finished, but try to keep them up most of the time.

* If you have dots on a mob that just did a aggrowipe (several bosses have this), using soulshatter will *not* get it off you. Save the shard, just run to your tank and hope you survive, and next time don't be so stupid with mistiming.

* At the start of a bossfight where you can have a damage-curse, pop amplify curse (this will start the amp cooldown fast), use a trinket and then first shoot all your other dots and hope for a spellstrike / t4 proc, if you have them, before dropping your amped doom. 200% spelldamage modifier on doom is a lot of fun so get the most out of it.

* Also just keep spamming sbolts around 10-12 seconds before you doom goes off. If an imp SB proc is up when the doom goes off, it gets that bonus as well. +20% on a doom beats a few wasted ticks of dots most of the time. As a bonus, getting sick dooms makes the mages feel impotent!

* If you have a choice for Soulstone targets, pick a paladin. They got plate and bubbles to survive longer so they won't eat your soulstones on trash as often.

* In case some people don't know this (I doubt it), if you are more then 20 foot away from a target you can throw a killing shadowbolt and cast a drain soul while the bolt is still in the air to get a soulshard from the sbolt killing blow. So make sure you keep some distance from targets in groups/raids.

* For the more experienced players: Use the Quartz addon, or a similar one that shows latency on your castbar. Modify your spell hotkeys with /stopcasting, /cast . Now if you're casting a spell and the bar hits the red "latency" part of the cast you can immediately start a new cast and the previous one will still finish. This will pretty much annihilate your latency allowing almost maximum theoretical dps.

* When your tank tanks multiple targets on pulls, try to figure out how well his aggro is over those targets. With most tanks you can drop 1 or 2 dots on all adds aside from the MT without eventually pulling aggro. Though some people see this as "cheating dps lists", it is simply a good tactic to wither down all adds for increased killspeed. When you get a good feeling for your tank you can decrease time killing trash by a substantial amount.

* If, at the end of a gaming session, you're left with a spare soulstone, cast it on yourself. The next time you login you will be soulstoned.

* With the fearkite-bounce, the fear will stay on the target when you apply CoR to pull it back, so all you have to do is throw another curse to send it fleeing again. If you use CoExhaustion as your other curse you get plenty of time to re-apply fear and dots. You can solo basically anything that can be feared in this manner.

*
Get a damage meter addon (KTM / Omen). Not only is this very handy in groups, but when fighting with a minion, u get to see how the aggro relation works between yourself and your pet, who builds up aggro most or fastest or when using a certain spell.

First of all, you must be a herbalist, or your friend has to be a herbalist.

Go to Skettis (Southeast in Terrokar Forrest). Around the lake, Talonsworn Forest-Ragers patrol. There are 2 up at a time, and respawn roughly 2-4 minutes after you kill one. They do not drop anything special, but this is where the herbalism comes into play. After you kill them, you can Herb them, which yields the following:

2 sets of 2-4 herbs which can be any of these - Felweed, Dreaming Glory, Mana Thistle, Terocone, Ancient Lichen, and Black Lotus... Yes... Black Lotus.

IT GET'S BETTER! Every time you herb them you also get 2-5 Motes of Life!!! On my server, Motes of life sell for 12-15 gold each. And most of the herbs sell for 20-30g a stack, as well as Black lotus selling for 10-15g each.

These Trees CAN be soloed because they can be stunned / feared, but is very hard if your not ranged. I am a Rogue in full kara / gruul epics and I have a hard time, so i bring along a friend to help. I give him 25% of what i make.

The beauty of this is that you can kill them in 2-3 minutes tops, and they have an extremely fast respawn time for a great farming session!

"Motes of Shadow now primarily drop from void creatures and have been removed from nearly all demons."

Stated above is a Recent PTR patch note. With this said, coming after the patch which is real soon, motes of shadow are going to be extremely harder to come by compared to how common they are now.

This being said, either buy these while there cheap before word gets out and patch is released, or farm these babies as much as you can before the patch releases. These primal shadows will be used a lot more after the patch, there will be bosses which require shadow resist gear, and resist potions which use these.

So buy/farm and save em up, it will make you very wealthy in the future! Or even just save em up got urself...I have over 100 primal shadows i been saving in the bank, and about to get some more asap! Now would be a good time to finish up your Aldor rep!

Enjoy!

Here is a little guide to help you farm the formula for +40 Spell Damage to a weapon. It drops from the Razaani Spell-Thieves in Blade's Edge Mountain, and it's quite a pain with all those Flesh Beasts changing from hostile to docile. Below is a map of all the spawn points of the Spell-Thieves.

Point A
Is a simple pull. If you have a flying mount, farming is simple. Fly north of A to the edge of the spire and pull the Spell-Thief without getting any adds.

Point B
Is also simple if you wait for the mob to patrol near point A. It is also handled like mob A.

Point C
Is a pain, because no matter where you go, you will always pull the Raider/Nexus Stalker, and sometimes a Flesh Beast or another pat.

Point D
Is a simple pull. Fly into the center of the rock formation to the right of it and pull it.

Point E
Is a little tricky. If you wait for the flesh beast to return to it's docile state and make sure the pat is walking away from the Spell-Thief, then you can instant pull it and back up about 30 feet southwest of E's spawn point.

Points F
Are random Spell-Thief patrols that walk along the outside of Razaan's Landing. I only noticed one spawn every 15 to 30 minuites, so when you take care of points A through E, fly around the outside to see if any have spawned.

Each technique gives you plenty of time to loot the corpse and mount up before aggroing anything else. After one or two hours, you will have yourself the formula for Major Spellpower to a weapon.

Please Note:
The next patch is taking the formula away from the Razanni and giving it to the Bash'ir, but for those that don't want to wait, this guide is specially for you.

The Bloodmaul ogres of the Blade's Edge mountains might seem like your everyday, average quest mobs, content to sit or stand around drinking their home-brewed beer until adventurers out of Toshley's Station or Thunderlord Stronghold wander in to get a move on their assorted chain, but these ogres have a terrible secret.

No, the secret isn't that they have the severed talking head of a murdered troll witch-doctor half-buried outside their outpost. That's public knowledge. The secret which these red-skinned ogres possess is this:

Formula: Enchant Bracer - Spellpower
Binds when picked up
Requires Enchanting (360)
Use: Teaches you how to permanently enchant a bracer to increase damage done by spells by up to 15.

As you would expect, this is a powerful and widely coveted magic spell, but the ogres, for the most part, keep it secret and they keep it safe. Any adventurer can turn to the trusted sages of Thottbot and find that between .5% and 1% of the Bloodmaul Geomancers fail to keep the formula secret or safe, but those facts are misleading!

You see, the Bloodmaul Geomancers, who are two-headed and staff-wielding, appear to share their points of origin, or "spawn points," as it were, with their one-headed and club-wielding cousins, the Bloodmaul Skirmishers. In fact, the Skirmishers are substantially more common; I'd put them at twice the spawn rate of the Geomancers.

Therefore, when you kill a Bloodmaul Skirmisher or Geomancer, there's about a 67% chance that a Skirmisher will respawn, and only about a 33% chance that the desired Geomancer will show up.

Thus, while it might seem attractive to fly over the canyon and strategically pick off the Geomancers, doing so will most likely simply cause the area to fill up with Skirmishers well before the formula drops.

The responsible thing to do is to simply grind all of the skirmisher and geomancer ogres in your path. You can avoid the brewmasters, the worgs, and the named ogre in the tower; they all have set spawn points and will not interfere with your grind if you miss them. The guards in front of the outpost are also static-spawn skirmishers, and you can skip them.

Please note:
While these are quest mobs and adventurers not interested in the formula do go there, keep in mind that if there's another player in the area for a long period of time, he or she is probably trying for the same thing that you are; while it is most likely tempting for you to revert to just ambushing the Geomancers, please note that you will be depriving them of chances to score the enchant, and they will stop grinding when they realize that you're populating the area with nigh-useless skirmishers. Please be courteous of your fellow gamers; not everything in the game is put there solely for your benefit!

It took me 9 hours yesterday to farm up this enchantment, but I had to deal with other players taking advantage of my responsible farming, so it should not take that long for others in the future if everyone follows these instructions. The ogres have quite a bit of Netherweave and green item drops as well. I even picked up the Bracers of Havoc blue tailoring pattern while I was there!

Happy Hunting Fellas!

I found a new farming place. They drop motes of water with a pretty high drop rate.

You can find these at blackwind lake in Terkkor Forest south east, has a pound full of them BUT be careful of 70 elites that are up there.

It is barely farmed and here is the location map. By the way, next patch they don't drop motes of mana anymore.. so get it while you still can!

Adamantite Ore go for an average of 20-30g a stack on my server.

If your a Miner with main or on an alt even better cause more profits for you! But I'm lazy to run around Outlands for veins and I have the gold to buy ore with.

4 chances for a rare gem in each stack. If you even just get 1 rare in chances that stack is already paid for. Rare gems go from 30-50g each on my server Nightseye being the most usually. I've paid 23g for a stack of ores and got 3 rares worth a total of 140g in that one stack. 110g Profit right there. But gotta think there are times all you do get is the dust and nothing else.

Only problem with this guide is the supplies of Adamantite Ore on AH.

But, I spend many 1 hour of my time buying and prospecting Adamantite Ore a day. Usually I save all my gems till I get 10+ of each and send in trade chat Selling in bulk!! Usually you can get a little more then AH prices if you have bulk of the gems.

Prospecting can be trained at Jewelrycraft skill level 20. 5 ores of each WHITE LETTER ore (meaning no silver, gold, etc), can be trained as follows:

Adamantite Ore - 325 Skill
Fel Iron Ore - 275 Skill
Thorium Ore - 250 Skill
Mithril Ore - 175 Skill
Iron Ore - 125 Skill
Tin Ore - 50 Skill
Copper Ore - 1 Skill

Another thing is... each stack will give you 1 Adamantite Dust (4.5g) to the vendor. And usually 1-2 uncommon gems 20g a stack to vendor also.

If you have time and gold to check ah and prospect you can easily make 1000g+ a day doing this and selling the rares.

IMO Don't cut and sell the gems cause you will have to pay deposit fees and you compete with others on the AH. If you put up say a Runed Living Ruby for 55g. Next min someone puts it up for 50g your screwed till that one sells. Waste of time and Deposit fee.

When BC first came out I use to sell cut uncommons for 5-10g each and made 3000g in 2 weeks. Now the cutting business is sorta unstable. Selling of uncut rare gems will always be needed.
